@shipoI have all of my Fitbits on separate accounts now..

When I do my comparative testing, I turn them on, Sync and then test.. and.. eventually turn off..  I have a cluster of Fitbits near the computer and occasionally I forget to switch one off and that is when I see the Fitbit Connect message..

Just some tests now, the phone with the Ionic has synced twice in 2 minutes and that lovely blue bar moved immediately along the top.  and using Fitbit Connect the One synced twice.. but... only the Message syncing your Fitbit..

So the home environment hasn't changed .. I even find the Fitbit One will sync up to 12m through walls etc in the house. Only rockwool insulation and fibrous plaster, 5 computers and 3 mobile phones in the vicinity and when the 4 of the TV's are on there are no issues. The main TV in front of me has Bluetooth and a Bluetooth keyboard when it's on..

So over the last couple of years that environment has had me concerned with the spotty nature of the Fitbit syncing and then you walk down our local shops and you get the phantom syncs via another computer.. I have always connected set on the phone so that I can pick up my phone ringing and messages from my wife. I have hearing aids now (one ear totally deaf, football injury 60 years ago) and in a busy shopping complex it is hard to pick up a ringing phone.  Fitbit works like a treat..

I enjoy your posts, because in my very much younger days I was into all types of sports and my father, who was the hard working type used to say, "All of this sport will kill you one day".. I think he wanted me to do more gardening etc.. In the winter I was playing 3 competitive games of Australian Rules Football on a weekend...and in the Summer 2-3 games of Cricket at the weekend.. plus working.. I seemed to fit it all in.. Have a girlfriend, marry her, 3 children all before my 29th birthday  etc.. She is in my Fitbit Icon.. Wonderful memories which I'm sure you will savour as you get older..

Not knowing then, that I was probably genetically designed for endurance.. My Fitbit Cardio Fitness has me at 42-46..

Thanks for listening..

@Colinm39, do you still have your Surge on your account, or was the Surge fining spurious?

Syncing perfectly today so I can only suggest it was a restart on the Ionic that stopped the spotty syncing.. Version 2.61 App.

Also the Sony phone, in sleep mode, was in the bedroom 12m (40') away as the crow flies.. All I have is "Always Connected" setin the App

Emails and SMS were coming through on the Ionic....then... suddenly an urgent phone call... So I had time to retrieve the phone and answer the call..

Notifications are excellent and this phone is not on Fitbit's compatibility list...

I as having the same issues.  It would sync, then it wouldn't be able to find the device, then it would not sync and so on... So frustrating.  After trying MANY things, I disconnected the Bluetooth from my car, and the only thing hooked up to Bluetooth is my IONIC and it has worked fine for 4 days.  I also disabled it from auto syncing.

Hi all,  my troubles with ionic continue to add up, and I can add sync failure the list.  I've had it for 4 days and today the ionic stopped syncing. I tried logging out of the app, restarting my bluetooth, unpairing and repairing to my phone, and restarting my phone but none of that worked.  I finally fixed it by deleting and re-adding it back into the app again.  So far it seems to be working again. Hopefully the sync issue will not be a common occurrence. The list of problems I'm having with ionic just keep growing...(the last couple days I've also discovered that using the gps and listening to music at the same time makes the music skip about every 20 seconds.)

Update, after "fixing" the sync error by going thru multiple steps listed below, a few hours later the stupid Ionic would not sync again.  I went thru the same steps, and I even reinstalled the app. This time however the app could not pair with the Ionic for about 20 minutes. I had to keep restarting bluetooth and I tried to restart the Ionic but it wouldn't respond to holding down the buttons. Somehow 40 minutes later I got it to pair and sync. All I can say is this absolutely sucks Fitbit. What gives??? Is there a fix? I've now had significant sync errors and music skipping issues in only 4 days of using this thing.
