There is no option to update my fitbit ionic

I have had the Fitbit ionic for over a year now, and have fallen in love with it. And I was awaiting the new update with anticipation of something great. But when they started releasing the update it never showed up as an option for my watch. So I am unable to update my Ionic to the newest firmware which is very upsetting. So do you guys have any ideas of how I could possibly get that update?

I think you will find that updating to the latest firmware may be even more upsetting than not being able to update.  Its often said "be careful what you wish for" , the latest update breaks watches..........
