Tracking weekly running

I don't care about the step tracking part. I only want to to have a weekly Mon - Sun total displayed on dashboard. How to do this? At the very least be able to find it on the app. I usually use Strava but since my Ionic will not synch treadmill running this has become a real pain in my running schedule. Also as long as I'm here....starting using this for swimming. Im not the fastest swimmer but is it really possible that swimming 500 meters only burns 72 calories? Thanks!

@SunsetRunner what exactly do you want to see in the stats? Like total running distance or summaries for other stats for the whole week? It isn't quite clear to me what you are asking for. Fitbit is mostly steps oriented and not much more use I have for app or dashboard in terms of analysis.

Swimming doesn't use HR sensor so I am not quite sure what thr calories are based on here. This may be a reason of such number of calories. Ionic isn't best device to track swimming in my opinion. My workaround is to track swimming as Workout (just mind that water will interact with screen and accidentally pause it from time to time) just to track it as an activity with HR and to track proper swimming (laps or open water with GPS) I use another watch with external sensor for accuracy.

Thanks for the quick response. You have a good point- what am I looking for?

I’m actually looking for a very lazy way to track weekly running totals. Normally not a problem... I look at Strava and know I need another 17k or 22k etc this week. But when I do some runs inside, I don’t have a correct total from the Strava app (gps issues). I can find this info in Fitbit, but cannot seem to make it a tile on the Dashboard. Like I said - v lazy.

As for the swimming - also good point. I guess my Ionic works in the water and tracks laps. That’s pretty good. I am curious if it is tracking heart rate. Do not see info heart rate info from that swim. Hmm.. will check today while swimming.

Thanks again.

@SunsetRunner now I see. I don't think you will be able to do it any easy way with Fitbit. I look for total mileage during the week and other stats as I like to analyse. I don't know why Fitbit limits functionalities like uploading non-GPS activities to Strava (I can do it when using Suunto watch with no issues). If you are into analysis then Fitbit isn't great platform.

Swimming doesn't enable HR. It is done by design. That is why I use Workout as this one keeps HR monitor on. It's yet another strange design decision ( why not to let users decide whether HR should be enabled? ). This is just my opinion but Fitbit devices are not designed for athletes and if somebody requires more in-depth view on data then ome should look for something else.
