I constantly have an inaccurate step count with my Ionic when on the treadmill. I have had the flex and Alta models with no issue and got on average 2k steps per mile on the treadmill while I constantly get about 1100-1300 with the ionic. I either do a 6 mile loop at home when weather allows or 6 miles on the treadmill and always get cheated on steps on the treadmill but never on GPS. I use normal arm movements and do not hold on when using the treadmill. Any suggestions on what the issue is or what I can do to resolve this issue?

But why were my other 2 Fitbit so much more accurate than this one?

You not covering an exact distance because you are not moving forward.

I have the same issue with my Ionic. I run on a treadmill for 30 minutes everyday at the exact same speed and rarely get the same number of steps and distance. The treadmill always shows the exact same distance. My remedy is to manually adjust the stride length to match the treadmill numbers. Only problemwiththatiswhen I train at a faster pace the steps again become inaccurate.
