Ugh Ionic not working

I see that there are quite a few people having issues after the software update. Has anyone found anything that will turn their  Ionic back on? I am so very frustrated with this all! I just got mine from a friend and used it for 1 week now can't do anything with it!

Ive got exactly the same problem. I did manage to get it to turn on for a while Andy all I go at was “Fitbit data not cleared sync and try again ionic”. I’ve tried a factory reset like it said but it won’t switch back on again now.

I have done the same. I talked with fitbit they won't help at all cause my
warranty is up. They want me to but a new fitbit.

Hi Robyn

I just spoke to them and they told me to update my iPhone. I’m on IOS 13.4.1 and there’s an iOS 13.5 out. He wants me to update to that and then check for Fitbit app update and do that and the new try a hard reset again. He said he thinks the watch is stuck half way an update and once I have done this I should try and re-setup the watch on my Fitbit app by adding it as a new device.

My Fitbit Ionic also stopped holding a charge for longer than a few hours and now no longer will turn on.  I am disappointed in the quality of this device if it no longer works after only 18 months, I will have to go back to my Tomtom or Garmin that are still working after a number of years.

Update: I have spoken to them twice today on the freephone number. Went through all of the trouble shooting with them and nothing worked. The watch is within it’s warrantee so they’re sending me a brand New Ionic. Fantastic service from Paul & Donovan & I have to say it’s the best technical support I’ve ever had from a company.

Well you did buy it secondhand from a friend. I would go back to your friend and ask for your money back.

It seems that 18 months is the magic number in many cases.  These watches are too expensive to have them stop working after only a year and a half of use!  NOT happy!  My husband's will no longer charge. Not quite 18 months old (December 2018) and it will not charge.  All they offer is a 25% off coupon and only IF you order direct from the fitbit site.  They have taken enough of my money!

Yes I did get it from a friend but it worked until I went to update it from the update fitbit themselves sent me! I am not spending another 200 some dollars on a fitbit when I have a charge 3 that I have no problems with. I have always had really good customer service just pissed that it was their update that screwed my ionic up!
