I have a new Ionic, well a second new ionic. I got a replacement since the first one I got from the store won't allow it to complete the setup process.
The second Ionic came in the mail today. Was super pumped to get it set up. Except I'm running into the same issue.
I have done the following:
Reset my internet router
Deleted the ionic from pair devices in blue tooth
Deleted the ionic from the app
Deleted the app from my phone
Powered off the phone, turned it back on about 10 mins later
Reinstalled Fitbit App
Allowed all permissions possible for Fitbit app
Reset the Ionic
Got to about 90%, then it just said Update Failed
I have done this now with two separate phones Google Pixel 3 and Huawei P20, MULTIPLE TIMES. Nothing works for either of them to get this watch to work.
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the reply. A few hours later on the phone and many many attempts it decided to just work.
