Unresponsive device after swim session

So I'm extremely disappointed, I've had my Ionic for not quite 2 years and use it everyday. I have always looked after it and never taken it in the water (even though it is apparently ok to use it for swimming). Well I finally relented and thought I would try it out for a few laps of the pool. Initially there were no issues as I entered the water, but after just 2 laps, the watch screen was blank. I have since left it out to dry completely. Tried rebooting, tried factory reset, tried putting it on charge but to no avail just a blank screen. How can something that is marketed as water resistant ( suitable for swimming) die on the 1st sniff of water! I would like a reply on my options for this matter, and am hoping that fitbit will reimburse me for leading me and thousands of others for claiming their product is suitable for swimming!

Hi Ricardo,

The green light is flickering in the middle of the sensors but screen still blank, I have cleaned charge points, tried different power points and usb chargers but still nothing. Green light seems to stay on without wearing it or until I plug it in to charge it🤔
