Did you mean:

Using Iconic and Charge HR at the same time.

I know this is unusual, but I have generally worn my Charge HR on my ankle, as I walk in place at my standing desk all day, and a Fitbit on my wrist would not pick anything up. However, since getting an Iconic, I do not want to stick my iconic on my ankle, as there are too many features that are useful.

To compensate for walking in place, I would like to wear my iconic on my wrist and my charge hr on my ankle. However, when I do this, the Iconic step count overrides the step count of my charge hr. So, where as I would have had another 1,000 steps, once I sync, my charge hr is forced back down to the level of my Iconic.

My question is why is it doing this? In the past, when I would wear a zip on my ankle and the charge hr on my wrist, the charge hr would be forced to increase steps to the level of my zip. I had been under the belief that your step count would be the higher of any fitbits you had connected to your account. Does the Iconic override this?

This is just a guess, Ciarla.  Open the App and click on the Account Icon at the upper right which looks like a page.  Click on Charge HR at left and scroll down to "Use as Primary Device" and turn On. I'm guessing that now when you sync, the Ionic will be forced up to the data on the Charge HR and the increased data will be transferred to your base account. In any event, can't hurt anything to give it a try.

This doesn't work. I don't have anything that says I can pick a primary device, and eve if I turn off the "all say sync" and "always conncected" for the iconic, and turn these options on for the charge HR, the iconic still seems to be the "primary device".

Sorry to hear that.  I just checked, BTW, and "Use as Primary Device" is not shown in my settings either on a PHONE but it is shown on my Windows 10 computer.  Go to the FitBit App on your computer and click on the Account Icon at the upper right (looks like a page), and then click on Charge HR at the left and scroll down for "Set as a Primary Device".

I want to get this to work, but even on the computer, I do not see "Set as Primary Device." I also don't see that page icon on the computer (I do see it on my phone, but as you said, the "Set as a primary device" option isn't available on my phone). Is it possible you could upload a photo of what you are seeing?

Thanks!

Thank you very much for all you help! I still don't have this ability, and my settings pages, either on my computer or on the app do not have this setting. This must be something different that I do not have access to for some reason, but I think you for all your help!

Why don't you try re-installing one or the other or both?  You could also check with Customer Support to see if they can help.
