Hey all - this is my first forum post so I will probably mess a lot up but here is my question, and any input would be appreciated. Is it realistic to use a fitbit as a workout-only device? While I love my fitbit, I am beginning to miss the feeling of an analog watch on my wrist, so I was wondering if I could only use a fitbit when I'm about to do a workout. Would that be a good/bad idea with the way that fitbits function (i.e. step tracking would be essentially pointless.)

Hello @Adrian8227 and welcome to the Help forum. I would say yes, you can use it for your workouts as long as you understand the limitations. Have you thought about wearing your Ionic on your ankle instead of your wrist? Many healthcare workers who aren't allowed anything on their wrists do this. Amazon (US store) has ankle straps. I can get a heart rate when I wear my Versa 3 on my ankle. Some people suggest just putting your Ionic in your pocket. You get steps, but no heart rate. So calorie burn data gets wonky. I find the sleep data to be very useful. You might want to wear it for sleep, too.
If you choose to wear it just for workouts, don't let the battery go below 20-25%. Deep discharges decrease the lifespan of rechargeable batteries.

Not only do you not need your phone to buy things while wearing Ionic, but you don’t need your wallet either. If you’re at a store that accepts contactless payments, simply press and hold the left button on your watch for two seconds to get to the Fitbit Pay app. If prompted, enter your four-digit watch PIN code. After your card appears on the screen, hold the watch face (on your wrist
