Versa Screen Graphics, Negative Step Count and Battery Life

My son noticed this afternoon that his step count was a '-2430' steps; negative?  Also, his screen graphic keeps breaking up with static.  All this, but not the least of issues, battery life has decreased since last update.

 

Hope there is a fix to all of the above.  We've restarted and tried all other suggestions.

 

P.S.:  I have an Ionic and have noticed the battery issue as well since the last update.
