Fitbit, in conjunction with the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), announced a voluntary recall of Fitbit Ionic smartwatches, which the company introduced in 2017 and stopped producing in 2020. The battery in the Ionic smartwatch can overheat, posing a burn hazard.
The health and safety of Fitbit users is our highest priority. We are taking this action out of an abundance of caution for our users. We will offer a refund to Fitbit Ionic customers.
This voluntary recall is specific to Fitbit Ionic devices. It does not impact any other Fitbit smartwatches or trackers.

Thank you. The email and the website should have been a little more clearer. Was not sure if I should click on the link again. Fitbit Support said a second email would come through. I now have the VVA.
you would think that as you can check the balance on line, it's automatically registered. Total just over $400AUD

I received the codes, but it only works with Sense, Versa 3 and Charge..its alsongood for the 1yr premium subs..but the code doesnt work with any types of accessory bands, whether exclusive, sport or classic..

Fitbit doesn't seem to have customer service number in India, and they provided international number and it gets disconnected after IVR response. Already spend 5$ for just listening to IVR response, so pathetic

Yep me too. Ordered a Versa 3, extra infinity band and premium access. Cost $240. Attempted payment via Only1 VVA and it was rejected.

Hi fellow Fitbit Ionic. Have any of you received your (virtual) Mastercard debit cards and used it to purchase a Fitbit Sense, Versa or Charge 5 online using the 40% discount portal set up for us? I apologise if this has already been covered in this particular forum. There are just so many pages!
So I am sitting on the fence wondering whether to wait for the refund to come through (waiting 2 weeks so far) or bite the bullet and use a credit card.
For one, I am being discouraged from reading about the problems some of you have experienced with accessing the refund. And two, I am being discouraged from reading reviews of so many people having several problems with the Sense, like the watch face falling out, the wrist straps falling out and the charger pins falling in or out. And then there seems to be a lack of support from Fitbit regarding all these matters.
Seeking any advice or opinions. I am in Perth, Western Australia.

The refund is just that a refund.. I have not got mine as yet
It's not a credit added to buying a new fitbit. You are out of pocket until receiving refund.
I have received my new Fitbit Sense just over a week ago.
Finding data doesn't add up to same as ionic. Hard to get hart rate up. Calories burn is less.
Battery life Ionic was about three four days with Sense just over a day msy last two days but I charge beforehand.
Bought Sense due to extras but atm find them just interesting and no help but states have to use 4 weeks.
Would have bought other brand but samsung watch one day Battery life and wouldn't do me. Other would Garmin but friend sold his for samsung for ease of use.

@Hammeroo I have had my sense since they came out, not once have the straps fallen off, the face fall out or the charger pins been falling in and out. Tracking of sleep is accurate tracking of heart rate is good (this has been tested again against the 24hr heart rate monitor I had from the hospital which was a 3 lead one and has to be accurate), results were obviously not identical but none of them will be but was it far off.
my step mum and a few others I know also have the sense and had a while and have never experienced those problems either
My battery lasts 3-4 days
But if you’ve read the reviews and are stuck on the issues of things falling off and your comment to another poster about him only having a week and probably not enough y time for things to fall off (or words to that effect) then you will never be happy with one and you’ll probably ended up breaking straps by constantly pulling yo check they aren’t lose or about to fall off, so that’s not the watch for you

Very confused by this process. I received an email into my spam from myglobaloptions.com and if I click the link (risky, right?) it asks me for a Mastercard number. I tried putting mine in (risky right?) and it tells me that my card is not in their database. Have I missed another email with more info because it went into my spam or something? What am I supposed to be doing here?

I got an email from global something or other a few weeks ago asking me to complete the registration process
then one yesterday from Fitbit ionic refund update which has the same message in many languages. Basically a redemption code and a button to press redeem virtual account. That’s where you input the code. Brings you to a B4B page
