Waiting on Fitbit Ionic Refund for 3 months

I've been calling the Fitbit Ionic Recall line for the last 2 months, and all I hear is "Nothing to do, we'll escalate it". The customer service has been telling me they couldn't do anything but escalate. They don't have a status or ETA. They can't do/see anything. It's the same story over and over when I call them.

I called about 6-8 times, I talked to the support on Twitter, and still nothing. No reference numbers, no written emails, just the same answers over and over, we can't do anything but escalate it.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @daniel9494. I'm sorry to hear that you're still  waiting for your Fitbit Ionic recall refunds. Thank you for contacting our Support Team in order to get more information.

The recall is managed by a different company that is taking care of the Ionic refunds. Our Support Team has limited information about them and only a few team members have access to it. I checked  your cases and our team was investigating about your refunds. Please stay in touch with them for more information.

Thank you for your comments @peejmeister. I hope you can find the smart watch wit the qualities that you're looking for.

I wanted to let you know that I'm going to close this thread to keep the community organized and prevent any confusion.

I'm sorry to see several (at least) are still waiting on their Ionic refunds.  It doesn't seem that the acquisition by Google has helped either.

In hindsight, keeping my Ionic seems to have panned out for me.  I still think it's the best looking smart watch out there to this day, and its features still remain relevant relative to other smart watches I've purchased more recently.

I probably would have sent mine in for refund had I not been able to MIRACULOUSLY pair and control the volume on my 1st gen air pods.  Unfortunately, the batteries on those have gone bad and pairing my new air pod 4s to the Ionic have thrown me back into the "no volume control" abyss.  I can still use and control the original air pods, they just shut down even before I complete my 5 mile runs.

I now only wear it for its non-health capabilities (notifications, weather, etc.) and good looks.  Too bad no other manufacturers have realized the (what I believe to be) large, untapped market for GOOD LOOKING smart watches.  I'll keep hoping and shopping for a watch as sharp as the Ionic and as smart as my Apple watch.  😣
