I get this error when trying to activate the wallet. The Ionic has been updated to firmware 27.25.16.7, which is the newest.

I have turned the watch off and on.

I have turned bluetooth off and on.

Sorry, Throt.  Yours is the first I've heard of getting 'incorrect' message.  I have three cards, none of which have been accepted by fitbit wallet.  There are only a limited number of banks that apparently have signed on with fitbit.  Maybe that's what your message is trying to relay to you.

Thank you very much. This worked.

You're welcome. Even a blind squirrel finds a nut every now and then.  This seems to be the big key to getting sync to work.

I have the same problem.  The wallet used to be working.  About 3 days ago when I tried to use it a gain, I got the "Screen Wake and Notification" setting screen instead of the credit card icon.  Tried all suggestions but the watch can not connect to the app on the phone any more.

I've had similar problems with Fitbit. Seems when that happens it's best
to reset watch (press left button and lower right button simultaneously
till logo appears. Then, turn off all bluetooth enabled devices (your
pc/laptop, phone, etc). Then try to reconnect fitbit (watch) to the app on
your computer. Don't know why this happens, nor why fitbit can't seem to
fix it.

Don't know why wallet (fitbit for that matter) seems to be so sketchy.  They don't seem too concerned with all the complaints I've read about.  Try to reset your watch (holding left button simultaneously with lower right button till logo appears).  Then connect up with the app on your computer.  Be sure to turn off bluetooth on your computer (and any other devices in the house - phone, tablets, etc).  After reconnecting, you wallet may work again.

I havit e the same problem. Wallet was set up but now when I try to connect to it from my phone (Galaxy S8) it says 'Pay with your Wrist' so I press 'Get started' (although wallet is supposedly is already set up and a card has been registered) and I get 'Your Ionic already has a PIN. Please enter the 4 digit PIN to verify. When I enter the PIN (it is the correct PIN on the Fitbit) it says 'Error

Error connecting to Ionic'. Sync Now works fine so not a Bluetooth problem.

A warm welcome to the Community @BillQ! Thank you for the details that you've mentioned. I would like  you to make sure that the card you've entered is on the list of supported banks

If it is but you're still not able to get it working, please try the following steps:

  1. Turn off Bluetooth on your phone; wait 10 seconds, and then turn it back on
  2. Try setting up your device again
  3. Restart your Fitbit.
  4. Try setting up your device again
  5. If you can't set up after a restart, reboot your phone or tablet (turn it off and then back on)
  6. Try uninstalling and reinstalling the Fitbit app
  7. Try setting up your device again

Hope this helps. I'll be around if you need further assistance.

I'm having this same issue.  I followed your instructions but it did no good.   I keep getting the response  " Unable to register your Fitbit"  It gives the same error when I attempt to change the devise lock.

I had the exact issue on a new Charge 3 received today with current firmware. Only by removing the app and reinstalling could I get the wallet setup./ Works perfectly now. Good solution.
