How do I get my watch replaced or fixed after it stops working following a swim?

Thanks. Fitbit did nothing for me because the watch is past the warranty
period. They take no responsibility for selling a watch that isn’t truly
water resistant as advertised. I’ve seen this issue with several other
users, but it’s not Fitbit’s problem to solve after one year. Very
disappointing and would not recommend it to others.

Hi @CBeachRunner,

As I've mentioned in numerous threads, the WR50 waterproof certification is simply not enough for a "sports active" device. Should have been manufactured to and certified to WR100 specifications. Like my Citizen and Seiko dress watches.

As the button seals age, compress and get dirty - this is likely where water gets in. Although reading some threads - you have to wonder about the integrity of the LCD screen as well?

 

Exactly the same applies to the Versa - although I'm not sure if "lifting screens" happens to the Versa as well?
