Weird Hourly Movement Notifications?

I've had my Ionic since Dec. 2017. Yesterday, it started giving me a weird notification at 10 minutes until the hour for the hourly movements. It used to say "XX steps this hour". (If I needed more steps and could achieve them, I'd get a purple screen, showing this message: Nicely Done! 250/250 steps.)

Now it's giving me a black screen with white words "Nicely done - 250 of 250 steps" even if I have not moved at all. When I check the hourly steps it's accurate, i.e. if I've taken 0 steps or 100 steps or whatever, and I can take the remaining steps and get the message that I've achieved the hourly goal. However, I'm not sure what's up with the weird hourly notifications? Anyone else experiencing this?

Hey @New_Jen, nice to see you here. Thanks for reporting this information.

Thanks for explaining with those details the weird hourly notifications that you're getting from your Ionic. This is not a normal behavior, have you try to restart it? You can also turn off the reminders to move, sync your Ionic and turn them back on later on.

If this doesn't fix it, can you please try to take a picture of it; I know it can be a little bit tricky! But it will help to further investigate.

Thank you for your reply! I wound up doing a reset for another issue (I was trying to set an alarm & it was getting stuck). That was just before bed on Mon. & the hourly notifications returned to normal yesterday. I don’t know why I didn’t think to reset it earlier!

All the sudden I'm not getting any hourly notifications that I have X more steps to go. And I'm not getting the congratulations you did 250 of 250 steps. I still have my Fitbit set to receive notifications, I still have it's set to remind me every hour in my case between 9 and 6 every single day. But now I'm not getting the reminders. What happened?

Wondering if this specific issue was solved. I too have experienced, sporadically, that the notifications for the 250 steps do not occur. It frustrates me that I miss this daily goal, because I may be caught up doing something else and lose track of time.
