Weird Issue with Gmail Notifications

Howdy,

 

Since the Fitbit support people check out these forums, I thought I'd share a slightly weird experienced I had last week. Since the latest app update for Fitbit on my phone, I was able to switch Gmail from an app notification to the actual email notification and it worked.

 

But it'd still only show part of the subject and "..." just like it would when we had to set it up as an app notification to work.

 

Though once last week it actually work worked. I saw the subject and most of the body of the email as a notification. I'm not sure what made that particular email or situation unique, but it was pretty cool.

I have the same problem. Changed back to notification in the list for Gmail and it actually shows the complete subject line and sender. If I pick Gmail as primary email I only get part of the subject line. Same thing happens with outlook email. I'm on a Note 8.
