Hi all,
I've noticed that my watch says "1000 burned calories" and then, when syncs with my phone the app updates the calories burned to 1000 for couple of seconds but when it finishes up it heavily decreases to 800 burned calories in the app and also in the watch.
Note that, the number above are examples... It happens everytime I sync with the phone.
How come calories been "downgraded" if is marked as burned already ?
I'm using a Google Pixel.
Cheers

I don't know - it stopped for me as suddenly as it started. Don't you hate technology that doesn't work right? Especially when the manufacturer doesn't even address the issues.

Well, after working for a couple of months, it decided to go nuts again. My charge showed 90 minutes of activity. 2 minutes later, it was down to 70! & my burned calories reduced as well. I did 90 minutes of intense dance but, once it synched, everything changed. I see that it took at least 1/2 an hour & said I wasn't doing much which, is not true. Why does this keep happening????

I have essentially given up on using "track workouts" and just go by whatever it auto-detects... Which might be a blessing as the estimated additional kcals burned is WAY too high and inaccurate. (MFP, Fitbit, etc all tend to use figures that INCLUDE your bmr... So you are getting credit for BMR in addition to your actual BMR.
At least I see that some of you have gotten acknowledgments that the issue is real... In the beginning.. I was getting remedial crash course on what calories are and such... I do hope that they finally address this issue...

I have the same problem. I sync my fitbit and iphone every time my trainer give water break. Both sync and numbers increased. My calorie count was 2093. Once i stop my workout, cooled down and sync again, the calorie count drop to 1978.

It's happening to me again this week. Just now, I had 2167 calories & 160 active minutes. after synching, it decreased to 2041 calories & 126 active minutes. Bet you in about a week, it;s fine again & then the problem returns in another couple of months. This has been going on for years. When the hell is Fitbit going to fix this? Their product is unreliable. Sure would be nice if they responded!

I was at 2613 calories and I just had to reset my Fitbit and when it finally synced with the app, my calories dropped to 1315. And now my watch is also reading 1315 when it just read 2613. Has anyone found a solution?

I contacted support. After trying bunch of different things (re-setting, re-starting, downloading new app, etc) nothing changed & I was told I was out of warranty & that was it. A few days later, my fitbit began working properly again. All by itself. In another couple of months, it'll probably start "losing" calories & active minutes again. I've experienced this with different fitbit models. Must be some kind of bug they just can't figure out. I'm just shocked my fitbit has worked for over a year. My previous experience was that the battery would die after 6 months. The straps, however, are falling apart.

I’ve contacted support twice now. My Fitbit won’t sync at all. And I try allllll the steps. But when I remove the Fitbit from my app, it takes numerous tries to get it to reconnect. Once it does, my calories are effed. They said it’s not a problem but now it’s happening again and I know Fitbit support won’t help. I bought this thing brand new from Fitbit in September and it’s already glitching?😡

Was this issue resolved for you? I started having this problem today, on an Ionic that I have had for 3 years now.

I had this problem today. Calories for last 7 days are messed up. Why this error keeps popping up from so many years. Cant Fitbit get a team and solve it. It seems very unprofessional from fitbit.

The same is happening to be with Charge 3. I lost at least 150 calories burned and 30 minutes off my workout time after I synced.
