Just bought the new fitbit ionic. I can't download the fitbit app on my windows 10 laptop. I have tried so many different methods and not one is working. Windows store is showing the app and it is stuck on downloading and does nothing. Annoyed cause I can't put music on my new fitbit.

That's really a Windows problem and not a Fitibt one.  There's been lots of issues with downloads from the Microsoft Store and several workarounds.  Try a MS community to find the right solution for you.

In windows 10 Settings there is a trouble-shooter you can try. Start > Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot. At the bottom of the list is: Windows Store Apps. Run the troubleshooter. Otherwise contact Microsoft Support Community https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us?auth=1
