Wristband Disconnects

My ionic wristband keeps popping off, it doesn’t stay connected. Does anyone else have this issue? Trying to decide if I should get a replacement Ionic or if I should switch the Blaze. My watch keeps falling off, and that’s just problematic.

Agree with all of the above.  I recently bought a sports band and was having trouble with it staying on.  Wouldn't immediately fall off, but maybe after a few hours.  I've realized that I need to make sure I hear an audible "pop" when pushing it in and then I give it a light tug to make sure it's secure.  It's very easy for it to appear pushed all the way in and not actually be secure.  You definitely want to hear the pop of the latch engaging.

I found I had to push the band in until I felt the click.  The underside buttons on the straps should pop up flush.

I agree with @SunsetRunner.  When I first out mine on it fell off a couple of times.  Especially the small band seems to need to be pushed hard to clip it in place.  Definitely do not wear it unless you can tug on the band and it does not separate!

I have taken my ionic 2 days ago. In 2 days strap mechanism got ruined. So we need to definitely improve on that.

Can you let me know where to replace in India Bangalore.

Didn't work for me. Just takes longer to fall off.

I can tug hard from end to end the length of the wristband and it's tight, but it simply falls off immediately on the short width side. Just a terrible design; and I'm pretty disgusted.

I was having similar problems.  I had to push the band into the watch housing socket with considerable force.  I heard an audible snap and now the band is secure.  At first I thought maybe I had broken the housing.  But it was simply the band clicking into place.

The band is almost impossible to get on unless you are willing to sacrifice your fingernails to hold the spring-loaded slide to the side as you push extremely hard on the band. I agree that it is a terrible design failure.

I didn't have to hold any pin in.  The primary thing was to grasp the outside and inside of the band near the and a push it firmly (hard) into the watch and listen for the pins to snap into place.  The snaps were audible.  The push was firm enough I was concerned about breaking something.  But once in, they only came out once since and that was when the band caught on something and I pulled my arm away quickly.  In this case it was a safety measure to keep my arm/ hand from getting caught.  I snapped the band back in place and all has been well.

I’m happy things worked out for you. This time. Now that your watch has
come apart once, it will eventually happen again. I have heard your advice
over and over from others. There is a design flaw that creeps in after
about a year, often less, that will compel you to have to buy a new band.

I just got mine and set it up the other day.  The band fell off three times.  Took me long enough to get the thing on at first.  So after reading solutions I finally got the click.  Seems like a pretty hard push for a small device.  Between the band and the UI, I fail to see how this device can claim this price.

The wristband that arrives with the Fitbit Charge 4 is absolute garbage. I lost my Fitbit the very first day I wore it as the latch simply will not reliably stay closed.   Fortunately I have a ROAD ID tag on my fitbit and a good samartian found it and contacted me.  I am ordering 2 replacement wristbands from other vendors to find a band that won't pop off.
