But still no firmware update to Iconic, no app store, no new faces. Didn't they say there were on track to release app store before holiday shopping aka black friday aka next friday?

This was an issue LONG before the Ionic was even though up, so don't expect this to be fixed anytime soon. 

 

Also, the app updates regularly, 2-4 times a month.

Give it time, my guess is that if they are still on track to release a new app store before the holidays that it could be as soon as next week.
