Best AnswerThat changed! I got my Ionic for Christmas, I ride 3-5 days a week - and my Ionic has ALWAYS counted my bike rides as steps. My iPhone counts every pedal stroke as a step, the Ionic is consistently lower, I’ve always assumed it was giving me a converted value. It does the same for swimming and stationary bike and my Nordictrack. Today I got zero steps and my steps per hour was zero for my 2 hour ride. Totally changed from the last 10 months.
