calorie count and heart rate monitor

When I take spin class I use spin ap and my calorie count is half of what others are getting. I also noticed that when I check my heart rate during class it sometimes doesn't register.  I tried moving the watch to the bottom of my wrist to see if that would help but it didn't. Calorie count and heart rate are the two main things I was wanting to track!

@JJIonic I imagine that both your issues are related, namely your calorie count is lower because your heart rate isn’t being measured accurately. This could be because the Ionic isn’t fitting properly during exercise, is moving too much or, ahem, there’s too much “moisture” on your wrist affecting the reading. (I’ve been told in the past ladies don’t sweat, they “glow”!).

Annoying as it might be, I think you’re best bet is to try different fittings, such as tightness and location. Also, if moisture is an issue, try a sweatband or something above the ionic.
