can't update wont sync

There is an update that shows for my ionic, when I try to update it just tells me it can't find my ionic.  It also will not sync to my phone to record my work out from today.

It's great to have you here @liz1201! I would like you to try the following process Why won't my Fitbit device sync?. After your watch syncs, you can follow these steps to properly update it. 

 

Also, double check you have the latest app version which is 2.52 for iOS and 2.73 for Android.
