counting incorrect laps while swimming

Swimming Lap count for ionic is below average, almost on every occasion it has counted a lap or two extra for me. On paying more attention as to why this is happening, here is what I noticed

 

- It seems to count an extra lap, while I take a breather between laps and simply doing breathing exercise in and out of water, with more or less stationary or at best just couple of steps shuffle

When you take your breather try not moving your arms (if you are moving them). Let us know if that helps

I see your point here, but it doesn't make sense if one is simply making hands move at a time of breather (and that's obvious thing to do at the time of breather). If FITBIT ends up counting that as one lap, that's a serious error.
