fitbit app and fitbit connect

I had to get  an old phone ( samsung s4)  out of the closet and connect to wifi in order for my fitbit ionic to sync correctly. Once the phone app and fitbit connect updated my ionic no longer syncs correctly. however using the old phone with the old app ( 2014) it works perfectly. this leads me to believe its an app problem that @Fitbit refuses to fix . the only response i get from fitbit is the generic troubleshooting link and we are working on it, they have been working on this problem for over 6 months now

I mean,you can’t blame them. They have to work on a LOT of software issues like activating the spO2 sensor and there are tons of customers who are aggravated. Just give it some time...

yes i can blame them the app and fitbit connect was working and the update caused the problem. Its been 7 months now and they refuse to fix the problem

I've recently used Fitbit connect. Wasn't a problem for me. Just re-download it and try again.

i have re dowloaded and that does not fix the issue, i have also removed and reinstalled the app on my phone and that still doesnt fix the issue either

@nitenurseIt does work but I find it difficult on the Ionic.. My Fitbit One and Surge, no issues, and this image shows what happened when I updated Fitbit Connect last week.  I use the three Fitbits in Multimode..

 

Sometimes I feel it's too many Bluetooth devices in the immediate vicinity of the Bluetooth dongle.. So I switch the phone off first..

 

I get success when It finds I have multiple Fitbit devices and Fitbit Connect prompts me and when I enter the Ionic account password etc it struggles but works.. invariable try again message.  Which just happenend then so I normally resort to syncing via the phone..

my fitbit syncs the only problem is the steps to challenges do not sync correctly
