I haven't, used my ionic since January, gone to try and charge it and it won't do anything. I have cleaned the port the charger goes in. I have tried resesting it with the help of youtube but nothing.

Sounds like the Lithium Ion battery has discharged to below what most chargers can charge it from.
Try a fast charger. These QC3.0 compliant chargers have a higher charging current at 5V that may be able to kickstart the charging process to get the battery charging again.
As a desperate last resort you could try using a 6V charger. But I'm not sure which are the + and - contacts on the back of the Ionic. Someone will know though.
The extra 1 volt may be enough to bring the battery back without damaging the electronics.
DO NOT use a charger higher than 6 volts.
