Its been several weeks and my ionic is syncing to the leaderboard however it doesnt sync to challenges. After doing all of the trouble shooting suggested by fitbit including a factory reset its still not working properly. this is the response from fitbit "We've received similar reports, and have escalated the issue to our engineering team. While we don't have a timeline for resolution, we will continue to investigate these discrepancies." THis could be a month or a year , this is ridiculous .

It's nice to see you around @nitenurse. I'm sorry for the inconvenience you're having with your Ionic and Challenges. At the moment, the issue is being looked on and we appreciate your patience while this gets resolved by our engineering team. I can't give you a time frame about when this is going to be fixed but I can totally confirm Fitbit is working on it.

Is this the only response fitbit has is that they are working on it but have no idea when it will be resolved. A nice BS answer. If i owed you 5 thousand dollars and didnt pay you would the answer of i know i owe you the money but im working on paying you, but i dont know when that will be , would that be acceptable

once again im out of patience and understanding, i keep getting the same answer we have escalated your case and we are aware of the problem. however we dont know when it will be resolved. meanwhile I have a 300.00 fitbit ionic thats not working properly . not only is it NOT syncing properly but now steps arent logging accurately either . in one phone call i went from fitbits #1 fan recommending fit bit to coworkers and on online forums to warning others about fitbits ionic not working properly, the lack of fitbit support and the fact i spent 300.00 on a tracker that lasted 2 months . I will be relentless on this issue I will not stop until the issue is resolved or i recieve a refund .

I have this issue, too, with my Ionic. I started out with the correct number of steps this morning (Monday), but as soon as I went for a run, and synced after, the challenge only showed half of my steps. I think it has something to do with automatically recognized activities not being counted in the challenges. Pretty disappointing. I also have issues with notifications stopping every couple days. It usually takes me about an hour of resetting every option I can think of before they start again. Sometimes I have to do a factory reset which takes hours. I also subscribed for Pandora for the radio stations, but it was a hassle updating and choosing stations that I cancelled my $10/month subscription. Definitely not worth it. Ionic has a lot of great features, ideally, but they don't pull through very well.

This is the exact same response I received today, and I see your issue was from 2018. This is sad because I really enjoyed my Fitbit until this. Nobody seem to know how to fix this. There's no need in me wearing it if I can't get into challenges.

It's the 5th Sept 2019, are you telling me there is no solution to this problem? Is this a problem with the device or the app? Or both?

Fitbit used to have great customer support.
Now they knowingly take money for defective products.
I was told I couldn’t have a replacement because it might not work as well.
Stupid and greedy! Luckily Amazon is letting me return bc of a generous 3rd party.
