Going through setting up my Ionic. Looks like this has been a long standing issue.
Multiple device resets and app resets done.
Phone app stuck at "Pairing your Device" with 4 digit code and Ionic Screen at go to fitbit.com/setup.
About to return it next week. Extremely disappointed with this experience.

May I ask what phone you have @Shrividya.
Have you checked for Fitbit app updates, loved out and back in?
Do you get any error messages?

I have iphone.
After my initial message, I restarted iphone, re downloaded fitbit app, re connected my new device, restarted ionic and waited 30 mins for software download and got through.
About 3 hours and a lot of frustration later I had it working. Thanks. Hope this message feeds back to developers.
