issues with Ionic, pairing and reloading the app.

This morning my ionic did not clear yesterday's stats. I pressed the single button and everything was wiped clean. I got an NaN on the miles and dashes on everything else. Phone and computer was registering my steps for today but the tracker wasn't. I plugged in the tracker to see about updates and it would not up date.  So I deleted my iconic device from fit bit, and try to reload the device. plugging i into my computer. I then deleted the app and then reload the app. It still will not let me load in the Ionic device.  When I press the button on the tracker, the time and date is correct, there are still dashes under the icons, and the NaN on the icon is still there.  On the tracker the only thing not working is the information about steps, heart rate, miles, stairs, and activity.  And I can not get the app to pair with the tracker.

Ok @m10m once the steps did not reset at midnight, there is no way to clear them from today. A restart simply restarts the tracker. Now if these steps had not synced to your Fitbit account, we might be able to remove them from the tracker. Once they are in your Fitbit account we can not.

As for nan I see a few days ago this question was solved by changing the watch face, then switching back to the desired face.

I'll never understand why people feel that removing a non communicating tracker from their account will somehow make the tracker communicate, hint removing the tracker will at best add problem's at worst will add a lot more problems.

Before you will be able to add the tracker you need to remove the tracker from the phones Bluetooth settings. This has to be done if you want to setup through the pc.

It also would be nice to include the phone and what OS the computer runs.

For now, make sure the app is up to date and restart tracker and the device you want to use.

How do I set up my Fitbit device?
Set up and get started using your new device.

First of all my phone is a Samsung 6 my computer OS is Windows 10. You tell me that I originally needed to change the clock face. That would have been the fourth time I changed the clock face since I got the device.  (about 2 years ago). So I deleted my device from my computer since I did not get a message saying I needed a new clock face.

But let's get back to reinstalling my Ionic device to my computer so I can fix the clock face. I follow the directions that come up and I get the following message. An issue occured while pairing your tracker. 1. open your bluetooth settings. 2 Tap and hold or right click your Fitbit Tracker, then select Delete in the context menu (What does this mean.) Isn't the Tracker the device tap and hold what the screen, a button? Right click on what, again isn't the Tracker the device, right click one of the buttons?

3. Make sure that your Fitbit tracker is not connected to another device via Bluetooth. ( I un-installed from my I pad and shut the Bluetooth off, also the I pad is not in range of the computer) I covered all bases.  Restart windows. Help.  Your directions are horrible and there has to be a better way.  Why can't directions be printed and boxed with the device.  Don't tell me you are trying to save the planet with less paper.  I have deleted other apps from my devices and have reinstalled with no issues, why can't Fitbit be as simple as reinstall. This is my last Fitbit  and I am not going to recommend it to anyone. One more thing, my clock is now 45 minutes slow.

Your step 1 is saying that you want to use the computer to set up your ionic.

Your step 2 is saying that you are right clicking on the ionic and telling fitbit to remove your connected all ready setup ionic. You press delete to remove the ionic from your account. And Fitbit responds with Are you Sure?

You say you uninstalled from iPad, uninstalled what? Simply turning the Ipads Bluetooth off is enough.

It looks like we have a sync issue unless you have done a factory reset to the ionic.

I am finished with Fitbit. I have had too many problems with your product. Changing clock faces, not keeping track of bike rides, not being able to reinstall.  I just bought a Garmin.  So good-bye Fitbit, I will never purchase or recommend your products.
