hi,
wondering if anyone out there can help.
i got up this morning and my ionic screen is blank and wont display anything. i can see dots on top top of the screen but when i tried to restart i see vertical blur lines and turn black again. does this mean i need to replace the screen? is there any other way to reset the iconic to factory setting?
i am still able to sync with my phone.
thanks in advance

Hi @thomasNJ,
There is a way to do a Factory Reset on the Ionic. Please sync your device to your app before you begin this process so you don't lose any data you may have already collected today.
Just hold down all 3 buttons for about 15 seconds and release. Once the Fitbit logo appears and you see instructions directing you to the Fitbit site in various languages, you have successfully reset your Ionic.

thanks. i tried that already. few times. still just a vertical lines. it's syncing to my phone though.
a day later. i had it charging overnight just in case. now this morning the screen is black. no glowing blue around the screen or blurry lines. just dead. i tried again to reset from memory. with black screen. it does reset and vibrates. but still nothing.

I’ve been having exactly the same issue. My screen started flashing on and off, next thing I know it goes completely blank and now it won’t come back on.
I have tried restarting it multiple times but I don’t even get the logo appear. I an however receiving notifications, and it’s still syncing to my phone because I can feel it vibrating. The screen just won’t turn on

i give up. better things to do with my life. LOL
it lasted two years for me so it's time for an upgrade. just ordered a Samsung smart watch. does all the things i need I.E. and more. i don't need 90% of what ionic does anyway. just needed the pulse and sleep monitoring so.... i dont know who it monitors the sleep anyway. does it go by movement or decrease in pulse during sleep? doesn't matter. good luck everyone. i'm out.
