Is there a hidden button on the back of the ionic? I have seen people mention it, but I can't see anything. I usually hold down the left button, and then bottom right button, and that seems to do something.
My ionic just seemed to die last night, but it's obviously still got power. The green light thing on the back is shining, but the screen is just black and I can't get the symbol to pop up. I've had so many problems with this one I might just have to buy a new one

There's a restart process which is much like rebooting a desktop computer that you do on the Ionic by pressing and holding the back and bottom buttons for 10 seconds until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen, and then release the button.
There also a shutdown procedure : On your watch, open the Settings app > About > Shutdown > confirm the shutdown.
To turn your watch back on, press the back button.

That was LITERALLY my question--I have no back button. Where is there a back button?

The Back button is used to go back to the previous screen and is the button on the left hand side of the Ionic

ok, I found a pdf of the manual. the button on the left side is called the back and the other two are called top and bottom. Weird.
I did that. the fitbit logo is not coming on the screen, there is nothing but a blank screen

If you have nothing but a blank screen after a restart then I would suspect a defect and recommend contacting customer support via contact.fitbit.com If they can't fix it then they can check your warranty status and advise on your options.
