what is this on my fitbit ionic?

So basically, there is this little square that looks like a camrea below the screen. You can only most of the tme only see it in really shiny light. I don't know if its a spying device but i feel like it is because i bought it at a low pricr online and all that came was a bag the had the logo and on the back it said california. It was only the screen, not the band. *Bottom left corner.*

@SirIonic as @prodmitry already said it's a the light sensor. It is used when you use automatic screen brightness. Try to put finger on it and see how screen changes brightness 🙂
