In the instructions fitbit suggest wearing the watch 2 to 3 finger widths from your wrist bone but i only seem to manage 1, maybe 1 and a half. For a guy I have quite narrow wrists but my forearms thicken quite quickly meaning if I wear it higher up it tends to slide down. The heart rate seems to be reasonably accurate even, and was just wondering if this matters or any advice as it would be nice to have it higher up for weights exercises.

Welcome to the forums!
If its accurate I would not worry about it. Wear it like you are.
Mine doesn't feel comfortable 3 fingers up either.
