Always-on heart rate

Can it really be true that the Luxe offers no way to show an *always-on* heart rate? Only one clock face ("Playful") even purports to offer this, and it doesn't work. (Heart rate shows as "--" in the always-on display, and only actually appears upon activating the screen. Based on reading other forum posts, this has been an ongoing issue for years, that Fitbit either can't or won't fix.)

The ONE thing I wanted in a fitness watch was to be able to easily/immediately see my heart rate while exercising, without having to stop exercising to wave my wrist around in the air, tap repeatedly on the screen, etc.

I've just received a new Luxe and am about to return it due to this issue.

Update: I bought a second Luxe and it has the same problem. But this time I noticed that it worked perfectly, displaying the heart rate in always-on mode, until installing the update (updating from factory condition to the latest update). Immediately after updating, the heart rate permanently turned to "--" on the always-on screen (as before, showing correct heart rate only after activating the screen).

This perfectly tracks with another forum post where people were noting that an update a year or two ago broke this feature. Unbelievable that it's been a known issue for that long and Fitbit still hasn't fixed it.

I'm returning both Fitbits and moving on to other brands.
