I can't access my FitBit account on my desktop anymore, and as I'm researching is sounds like I will need a Google account if I want to continue using after 2026?
I don't have, nor do I want a Google account. My iPhone continuously asks me to sign in to Google, but I refuse.
Are there any other options, or am forced to go to an Apple Watch because I refuse to set up a Google account (personal preference, I just don't want to).
Side note - why does FitBit keep sending me e-mails about my weekly progress report with friends steps, yet challenges are gone? Very frustrating. That was a nice/fun way to keep in contact with family that lives far away.

Hi @Rnda13 you can learn more in this article - click to read. If I'm reading it right, as long as your Luxe is supported, you can keep the Fitbit account and not go to Google.
As for the friend steps showing, many people like to know where they fit step-wise with others who use the devices. If you're missing competition, make your own challenges at Stridekick.com, which has a free version where you and your friends can really compete. There is even a challenge to read daily!

@Rnda13 I’m sorry, but @Odyssey13’s response is incorrect. If you don’t migrate by the deadline, then your Fitbit account will be deleted. I understand where you’re coming from. I have family members who don’t want to migrate.
I really like the Luxe. It just doesn’t look like a fitness tracker. I haven’t seen anything like it in another brand. For me, the Apple Watch just doesn’t have the battery life I want.

I would recommend against using StrideKick for free challenges. They have recently made some changes to their app. In order to create private challenges there, you have to pay for a subscription. You can still create challenges for free, but they are public. That means that strangers can join and there's no way to remove them. A lot of the strangers on StrideKick are not very nice.
