Connecting 2 Luxe to same app

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

So can a person not connect more than one LUXE to the app at a time?  With color options for Women this is obviously something someone would want to do.  My wife has a silver one and just purchased a gold one to switch between.  When she went to add the new one the only option was to replace.  Any suggestions or help would be great.  If not is this an app or an account limitation?  Hopefully I'm just missing something.

Sorry, but you cannot have 2 of the same device connected to same account. Also, except for some of the older models, you cannot have 2 different models connected to same account.

From Can I use more than one Fitbit device with the same account?

Hey there, @captaink. Thanks @JohnnyRow for the assistance provided.

As @JohnnyRow mentioned, you can only have one Luxe connected to your account. If you try to setup 2 Fitbit devices of the same model, you'll only see the option to replace. What you can do is create another Fitbit account with a different email and setup your Luxe there (you can even use the same phone and switch between accounts when you or your wife want to sync).

By the way, I moved your post to the Luxe board to keep our Community organized.

Catch you later.

Interesting I would never have guessed.  What a shame.   Should have looked before buying she purchased the 2nd device.    I have my own Charge so don't care about my device on her phone.   However she would setup another account for her other LUXE.  I don't see how to switch between 2 accounts on the same phone.  Otherwise I guess she could set that account up on her tablet but would be great on the same phone.  Can you point me in the right direction on how to use 2 accounts on the same phone?

Adding to post by @BraulioFitbit , if your wife did create a separate account for the 2nd Luxe, data on 2 accounts would remain totally separate and could not be combined.

The only way around this would be to remove one device as adding the 2nd every time, which involves setting up as new device each time, and making sure to sync right before switching away from one device.  Most people would find this not worth the trouble if switching frequently.

P,S. after seeing your last post.  To have 2 accounts on same phone, log out of one account, create new account, then have to keep logging out of each account and back into the other.

I would expect you would want to see about returning newly-purchase Luxe.

Haha. .don't you know you can't wear a sliver Luxe with Gold Jewelry and vice versa. LOL.    She does not care about the separate accounts and the combined data.  She's not about that.  She's about the daily information which she really watches.  Combined not so much.  Luxe is probably overkill.  I pushed her into Fitbit because I have had one so long.    Perhaps that was a mistake but it is what it is now.   It sounds like from @BraulioFitbit response that it might be easier to switch between accounts.  Sure would be a nice addition to the app if not.  She will probably just need to setup the other account on her tablet and pick one to wear the majority of the time and use the same one to track exercise and sleep.  BTW do we  know what the limitation is and why two devices can't be combined on the same account?
