Exercise/Step Sensitivity

I have a young infant and spend a lot of time bouncing him on an exercise ball. My Fitbit is counting these as steps. Is there a way to change the sensitivity of my Fitbit?

Sorry, but there is no step sensitivity setting, exactly.  The closest thing is to change the setting to say it is on dominant wrist, if it is not already.  That is supposed to filter out a few false "steps" expected to come from dominant wrist movement, such as brushing teeth.  I have never tested how much difference this makes but my guess is not much.  Sometimes I swap wrists for a few hours if one bothers me, but I don't bother to change the settings for this.

Another thing you could try is just putting it in a pocket during this time but then lose heart rate, so maybe not worth the trade-off.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
