How to delete 8 million steps!?!?!?

On December 14, my Alta HR somehow logged over 8 million steps. How can i delete these so my yearly/lifetime totals are correct?  I now have a Fitbit Luxe and have tried logging a driving activity for the entire day, but that hasn't worked. Have an android phone, if that makes any difference in the advice you all may give.

@aprilfoolcml   I am an iPhone user and have the following path.  I hope it is part of the Android app, too.  Tap on your profile picture > scroll down to Account Settings > Delete Data > Choose steps.  I never had to delete data, so I don't know how it works from that point on.  You might to delete distance, too, if it gave you distance.
