Luxe battery is draining too quickly

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My Luxe is only about a year old and I am having all kinds of battery issues. The battery life jumps around. It will say low battery and I will plug it in and it will say 85% life and then I wear it and the battery life jumps around lower and higher. I can charge it for 8 hours and it will say 100% and then 20 mins later it will say 50% and then I plus it in and it says 72%...its just all over the place. And it keeps dying in the middle of the day even if I just charged it. Its all updated software wise and I have tried to hard reset multiple times. I have also cleaned it...nothing helps. Any ideas? Anyone having these issues?

Hi, @muzicgrl welcome to the community, It's a pity you have this experience with your "Luxe", allowing you have reset your Luxe I would further suggest you try changing the clock face to see if that helps. Failing that, I recommend that you talk to "Customer Support" using the chat facility or phone for a prompt response. It's a good move to note the steps you have taken and the results before making the call so you can brief the agent clearly and allow them to take your issue forward without delay. If your "Luxe" is a recent purchase you may still have the benefit of Fitbit's warranty depending on where & when you bought it, the agent will need this information if it applies.

I hope this helps.

Cheers

I indeed got a response. The response was that it is no longer under warranty so there is nothing they can do. So I guess Fitbit deems it acceptable for a product that is less than 2 years old to display incorrect battery %s, for battery % to jump up and down and to die while having plenty of battery life remaining and then magically turn back on later. Way to stand behind your product.

I'm also having this same issue. Very frustrating as i've invested in the straps etc and it's never been perfect from the start. This was also the last Christmas gift i received from my dad before he passed away so its really disappointing to hear they're not offering any help.

This planned obsolescence. They do it on purpose so you'll have to buy a new product. Mine was at 88% and died 4 hours later. I charged it for 10 mins and it said it was a full battery. I've been buying fit bits for about 8 years and they never last more than 3 years.

My Luxe is about two years old and I’m having the same battery drain issue.  Minor problems that I could fix by removing my Luxe, then booting it by up used to work for a while but no more.  I’ve had about four Fitbits in less than eight years.  I’m done with Fitbit.
