Luxe is tracking data even when I'm not moving

My luxe has worked fine for months but today it told me I exercised for hours while I was sitting at my desk at work. My heart didn't feel like it was racing but it gave me tons of zone minutes and still thinks my heart rate is elevated but it isn't really. I don't know how to make it work right again. Rebooting didn't seem to help.

I do not get zone minutes or why I would ever need that anyway but that's another complaint. I just think it's dumb and useless.

I just ignored them mostly but I need this thing to give me accurate numbers or there's no point.

Hi there, @3dawn. Thanks for stopping by in the Community Forums and trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Luxe before reaching out.  We‘re taking your comments and sentiments in regards to our products into consideration.

I'm wondering if you're using another app connected to your Fitbit account that will add more steps? Mobiletrack maybe? Low-power step sensors inside your phone track your steps and send the data to the Fitbit app. We recommend using MobileTrack if you forget your Fitbit device at home.

Note that adding more than one Fitbit device to your account gives you the convenience of switching between devices while still seeing a holistic view of your daily activity on your dashboard.

As for the heart rate readings, where you near to a fan or something that generates vibration? If so, note that your Luxe may display an erroneous heart rate reading due to the vibrations. In addition, keep in mind that there are some factors that can affect the heart rate readings such as movement, temperature, humidity, stress level, physical body position, caffeine intake, and medication to mention a few.

For more information, see How do I track heart rate with my Fitbit device? and What factors can affect my heart-rate reading on my Fitbit device?

Hope that helps.

Thanks for trying.

Rebooting again seemed to have worked.

I turned off the HR and turned off the device and rebooted and turned it back on and it went back to normal.
