Luxe keeps turning off

Hi there,

I have my Luxe now for around a year and since a couple of months I’ve started to have the following problem: it switches off randomly although the battery is not completely empty. Just now it happened and when I plugged it to charge, it’s showing 64% charged. Sometimes I will take it off the charger then and it will suddenly indicate a lower percentage. Does anyone else have this problem?

Hi, mine is doing the same thing. It was charging correctly, last time I checked was 57% full. A couple of hours later I tried to check on it and it died completely. The app says it is fully charged, but it went black and it is not showing anything...

Hi, mine has started doing this too.  It was fine when I was swimming but then it seemed to have switched off when I tried to finish the swim event.  I was about 66% charge.

Tech help told me to hit the reset button near the base of the plug. I felt the reset pulse but screen was still black. Had to replace with 35% discount.

Hey Felicitaas,

Mine did that 3 times this week. Had to plug it to turn it back on! Were you able to fix the issue?

If I inadvertently allow the magnet from the stainless steel band to stick to the back of my Fitbit lux (for a while after charging) then the display goes blank and I cannot reset my Fitbit until the battery has gone completely flat. This has happened twice now on two different  Fitbit luxs (one replaced after the first magnet issue but not knowing that that was the issue) two different chargers and two different leads. The placing of the magnet being the only common event.

Seems odd but I’ve had no problem after I ensure the strap magnet does nott stick to the Fitbit back.

Same exact thing for me. Does anybody from Fitbit ever come on her and let us know what’s going on?

I was told to do a hard reset, uninstall my app on my phone and everything but it did not solve the issue. I hope tech support will be able to resolve this soon

It’s hard to see why a hard-reset of the phone would help as the issue is that the Fitbit won’t respond to any input including a reset to the Fitbit (pressing the reset button on the usb plug on the charging lead). I waited 3-5 days for the Fitbit’s battery to discharge so effectively initiating a power-on rest. Thereafter keeping the catch magnet on the metal strap away from the Fitbit’s back appears to have solved the issue. Quite what the magnet does to the Fitbit lux is still a mystery (to me).

Best Regards,

Julie
