I recently received a Luxe Fitbit for tracking my steps as I’m going to join a program that needs this info but it doesn’t seem to be tracking my steps in real time and seems to jump up in number at an unusual time, ie more than an hour later. I’ve updated the software to the latest version and still haven’t seen an improvement. I’ve been given the Fitbit as a gift but am wondering whether to return it. It sits snugly on my wrist but don’t know what else to do.

Hi there, @Annie_A. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Luxe before reaching out.
As a first approach, please restart your Luxe as suggested here How do I restart my Fitbit device? If the restart doesn't work try to change your clock face. If this fixes the issue, you can change your clock face back to the original clock face.
Sometimes, when you start walking, your steps may not update on your device right away. After about 10-15 continuous steps, you'll notice the steps catch up and start updating in real time with each step you take.
If you feel that your step count and distance are inaccurate, confirm the following are correct in the Fitbit app:
Since we use height to estimate your walking and running stride lengths, you may want to measure and manually adjust these values if your legs are longer or shorter than average. For more information, see How does my Fitbit device calculate my daily activity?
