I'm starting a 90 Day Weight Loss Challenge on January 1, 2016.
My goal is to lose 20 pounds. I previously lost 60 pounds from May 2011 through December 2012 and would like to trim down a bit more.
Anyone interested?

Thanks Coach,
I have a question, I've been walking as my cardio workout now I've injured my foot and unable to walk. What other cardio exercise I can do to burn calories and it's low impact on my foot? I thought about just doing weight training until my foot heals, but I don't want to bulk up. Thanks for your help
Best Answerthanks coach. wasnt sure how many, if any, exercise calories I should eat so thankyou for the tips. sounds good to me. x
Best AnswerJust thought I'd step in to report that I lost 12 lb since I joined the challenge. I weiged 183 lbs when I joined the challenge and I am down to 171 lbs. Eight more lbs to go. The second part of this time is going to be a bit tricky, because I have not been under 170 lb. in a very, very long time. However, as the weather warms up, I hope to be out more, walking and exercizing. In addition, because my blood sugar is a bit high (pre-diabetis), I am going to try a veggie diet for the next 12 weeks. This should help me lower my blood sugar as well as loose weight.
Keep it up, everyone!
To our health,
Ellie
Best AnswerGood job, Ellie!! Keep it up and don't lose heart or patience, those last ones might go slower but if you stick with it, you'll succeed!

Best AnswerHow is everyone faring? I would love to hear updates on everyone's progress.
I have been feeling off for the past 2 weeks, and very tired for some reason. I also noticed a lot of people around me are sick, so maybe that has something to do with it. Because of that, I have been taking the bus instead walking to and from everywhere. And as a result put on a few lbs. But I am still where I should be in my plan.
I am better now tho, and this upcoming week I am doing another Workweek Walking Challenge to get back into form.
Best AnswerJust tallied it up, and so far from Jan 1 I am down 14.6 pounds 😄 I may even surpass my goal by April 1. This is accompanied by a reduction in activity from my patellarfemoral syndrome diagnosis (huge pain in the butt, wouldn't recommend) - but I'm getting through it. I know this is all for my health, and mental well being, but **ahem** I am friggin ready to buy my first ever bikini at 28 years old!!!
@ashweee12321 Well done, keep doing what you are doing and you'll be able to stay in that bikini for years to come.
Today was a, well an OK day, lots of bumps in the road, but bumps build character. The best part of today, besides being able to get up out of bed, hear, see, small, taste, and move, was going for a 2.5 mile walk with my 17 year old, 6'2" son and have a nice conversation......Priceless. Everyday I learn something new and when I'm smart enough to put those things I've learned into practice, well, the sky is the limit.
@Tave Hey Tave, as long as you keep getting up and you don't give up, you'll be OK. You were smart to take it easy when you were not feeling well. When the body has to fight off germs and then work at rebuilding itself from exercise it puts extra stress on the body. When you rest your body can focus on helping to heal one area and you'll be back on your feet faster. Glad to hear that you are feeling better and easing back into exercising. Stay well.
@MusicMaker I am so proud of your dedication and hard work towards your goal! Keep up the great work! Life is full of bumps in the road, peaks, valleys, and plateaus! Staying positive and going in the right direction is the key! Here's to an amazing next week!!!
Bought a shirt before Christmas, tight across the chest and waist. Wore it to the football yesterday, loose on both areas. Made me feel good. Measured weight again today, after 60 minutes cross-trainer, still just under 119kg. As people have said, not the weight that really matters, but body shape.
And Fulham won 3-0.
@jamfactoryken Jam, that is the best feeling in the world having clothes fit that you couldn't get on at all, or were too tight. What you are doing is working, so keep it up, and I'm happy your team won they killed it.
Best AnswerThanks, @RubyH. I will check the link you recommended. I think that I am already on the right track with that, as I eat a lot of veggies (mostly raw), and exercise. However, I am actively looking for best solutions, as I am determined to bring my blood suger into the normal range. Thanks for taking the time to send me this info. Have a great week.

Hi, @keltoid! Thanks for your encouragement. Looks like I am getting there. The last couple of days I reached 166.5 lb, which makes it a total of 17 lbs since I joined. I think I may be able to not only reach my goal, but also exceed it. Right now I am very encouraged. FitBit does an excellent job in keeping me accountable, encouraged, and challenged.
You keep it up yourself. Looks like we are all on the right track here.
Best wishes!
Ellie
@Bogdel That is so good for you, great work on getting it done. I bet you look fabulous!
