I have decided since it is 90 days til Christmas the best gift I can give myself is better health. In the past 9 months I have slowly lost 40lbs give or take usually stays a between 35-40lbs. I would like to lose another 20lbs + by Christmas. This would put me at almost the halfway point for my weight loss. I was doing paleo for a while but found myself bingeing on cheat meals and eating way to many things that I shouldn't. So now I have decided no foods are off limit I will log every bite of everything and if I choose to eat more than allotted for my activity I will have to be more active to stay within my calorie deficit for the day and see how everything goes from there. Feel free to join me on this journey. Also add me as a friend so we can challange each other.

I've been skating on the Normal/Overweight BMI boundary all week. Up half a pound, down a quarter, etc. etc. Total carb overload on Sunday (pizza, chocolate cake) = net weight gain for the week. Oh well... still tracking to lose 10 by Xmas.
Thxgiving week will probably be a disaster but I'll deal with it. The holidays are going to come along every year, and there's no way I'm going to let that keep me from getting healthier. Enjoy the feast, and then move on!
How's everyone else doing?
(Change to graph: the shaded areas are targets for the week, prorated across 11 weeks. Bright green is weight loss actually achieved.)

I'm doing well enough to be happy and getting off my "summer" extra pounds. It's just easier for me to walk a lot on the home property when it's cooler out! Hubby just started walking with me about 2000 steps around the house,on the not rainy days and that's been fun. I walk with my dog every day,no matter the weather though or I just can't Eat the way I like to.

Good Morning to all.. Today will be my last official weight before Thanksgiving. I am pretty excited about where I am with my weight today. However, I got the 24 hour virus during this week so I am sure that helped a tad on the weight loss, but I won't lie, when I stood on the scale this morning, I thought well that was worth it...lol. NOT that I want it back again...lol. Now just to make sure come Friday I don't go back the other direction. That will be the hard part. (All that good Thanksgiving food)
I am planning a fun filled day today (OFF work) so hoping for a good day and lots of walking and HOPEFULLY I will still do good on my eating. 🙂 I hope everyone has a wonderful day! If I am not back before then, I hope you all have a very HAPPY Thanksgiving! We all have so much to be thankful for! This group is one of my things I am most thankful for!

So, this week changed how I was approaching things. I took a generally set food plan and decided to drop the calorie counting. Don't get me wrong, I'm still mentally keeping track when I have to. If I deviate from what I've planned I'm making a point to eat more or less depending on my calories burned.

I suspect I may not meet my Christmas goal, but I'm not sure that I ever expected to as I started with a maintenance week. I'm okay with that, since in the long run I'm just looking for continuing weight loss month over month. Week over week is good too, but as long as I'm lighter next month at this time I consider this a good thing.

I'm in SHOCK!
14 Nov (CW = 191.8)
21 Nov (G 191; Reached 190.2)
28 Nov (G 190; Reached 188.2)
05 Dec (G189)
12 Dec (G188)
19 Dec (G187)
Christmas (G 185)
I had hit 188.8 on the 25th and remained there on the 26th but rebounded to 189.0 on the 27th. I was "certain" that I was heading back up above 190. But I didn't! At least not yet. And I'm going to do everything I can to avoid that depressing event!!! Won't bother me a bit if I go below my "current" Goal Weight by Christmas! Next Goal Weight will be 175. Then 165. At present, my expected Final Goal will be 150. But who knows. With my Changes in Lifestyle, maybe I'll be able to get down to a "Normal" BMI (131) for the first time in my Life! Apart from Childhood Growth Spurts, that is
On 10 November, I went to see my Doctor for Semi-Annual Visit. Gave her the latest FitBit Weekly Report. She was very pleased with my progress as proved by my FitBit Report, along with her checkup. This Wednesday, I go see my Neurologist. (Ruptured Brain Aneuryism back in December, 2012.) I'll be taking my FitBit Report for last Week. Proof for him that I am doing great!!!

Whoa! That's some excellent progress @BLLingg @A_Lurker @Helix96 @HeartBiller @Gayle1018!
I haven't weighed in a while; but last time I checked I was 56.5 pounds down. I haven't changed my diet but I didn't really excercise for these past weeks so I guess I'll only know when I get to my doctor's appointment. I'll keep you guys posted!

Didn't quite make my goal for this week, but on the other hand I still lost weight over the week, so I'm good with that.
Friday after Thxgiving Day was ridiculous. I clocked 382 steps all day--can anyone beat that? <g>

Decided not to weigh in today, giving myself a few days to get back totally on track so I won't get stressed/depressed. Everything is fitting OK, and I feel good so I don't think I gained over T/Day- but did eat more than normal.. Great to be on the challenge as the posts keeps me motivated and encouraged!!!

Apparently Thanksgiving was rougher than I thought. I had four different meals to go to last week, plus traveling, plus being in charge of desserts for an event. I feel like I did ok with the meals but the snacking before and after is what killed me. I've realized I don't do well with a ton of food options. Instead of scanning the food table for the healthiest options, I would just try them all. I need to fill up on the healthiest options so all the rest isn't so tempting. Lesson learned. Bring on Christmas. I'll do better!

If you want to reply to yourself from a previous post:
- find the post
- click "Reply" button at bottom right
- (important) at the upper right corner of the "editing box" there is a button called "Quote"--click it to have your previous post copied into the editing box.
Doing this will ensure that when you refer to something said a while ago, others will know what you're talking about 😃

@Annabel398- that is pretty low for the day. Even just a couple of months ago a day with a couple of thousand steps wasn't an usual thing if I was having a completely sluggish day. I started with the 250 steps an hour, but changed it to 500 steps for every hour I was awake. Although sometimes I would get stuck at my desk it was reasonably easy to make up. I think I skipped the 750 steps and went straight to 1000 for every hour I'm awake. Some days it is easier than others. I'm actually home sick today but still have been making a point to do some steps between resting. I likely won't end up with a huge number of calories burned, but because I'm resting and then making up 2000 steps I still have active minutes today.

Thanksgiving and leftovers certainly was a huge challenge this week.Whew.Congrats,condolences and best wishes to All for this last week !!!
I'm getting done-in every day trying to walk it off with extra. Still too many goodies around here though.Much easier with no temptations in the house at all. My saving grace was a quiet Thanksgiving at home and also walking on the home property. I felt heavy for a couple of days but yesterday and today my body felt lighter again and I'm about even. Now if I can keep my amped up routine going until Christmas I may make m goal yet.
