February 2017 Step Goal Challenge.

ANSWERED

How It Works:

The purpose of this challenge is to keep track of your daily step goals for February, 2017. This is not a competition to see who can do the most amount of steps, instead it is a challenge to measure your consistency . So whether you do 100,1k, 5k, 10k or even 40k steps a day, this is measuring how many days out of 28 for the month can you hit your goal.

Some of you might have a constant goal of 10k steps every single day and some might have a variable goal throughout the week, for example.

Monday -> Friday = 10k steps a day

Sat & Sun = 6k steps a day

Regardless of how you structure your daily goals, the only thing that matters for this challenge is whether or not you reach what you set out to do.

Suggested Posting Format

1) Post either your constant or variable step goal.

2) Keep track of the # of daily goals achieved / 28.

Optional

3) Post either your constant or variable calories burned goal.

4) Keep track of the # of daily goals achieved / 28.

Injury Notice

If you injure yourself during the month and decide scale back the number of steps due to the injury, then all you have to do is adjust your daily step goal for that period. If you normally do 10k steps a day but pull a hamstring and decide to do minimal walking (2k steps a day), then all you have to do is change your goal.

Ugh. Flu has me in its grips. I'm on tamiflu, so hopefully I'll feel better soon, but I spent most of yesterday lying on the couch moaning while the two of my kiddos who also have flu moaned along with me. SIGH. Needless to say, things didn't go as planned.

I'm actually trying to make sure I hit the 10,000 before dinner.  This means I can spend a little 'me time' in the evenings.  When I was doing the 20,000 a day I was just wearing myself out.  I suspect I'll eventually increase it, but in a way I almost need to make sure that I don't do way more each day.  Woman Happy

Cannot WAIT until tomorrow. Tamiflu, vile though it is, has done its job and the twins are ready to go back to school and I was not completely wiped out by a regular day of parenting. Tomorrow, I can actually see about getting back into the gym and blow off some steam. My youngest has been truly horrid for the last day, suffering from cabin fever after days inside.

Well my twin grand daughters had their 10th birthday party this weekend, so I had cake and ice cream that I shouldn't have. We went out to dinner Friday night and I didn't do horrible, but sure wasn't the best. I did however meet my step goal each day, so I guess that is a small victory in it all. lol.

I hope all is having a blessed day!

OK, cold is slowly on its way out. Gonna try to send this cabin fever on its way out, dig out from this snowstormb and try to get back to things.

My daily step goal is 2,000.

My daily calorie burn goal is between 1,800 and 2,000.

So far, I've met my step goal every day thus far of February, so I'm currently 14/28.

I've also burned over 2k calories every day in February as well, so 14/28 for that too. (:

Missed another day this week.  I was home with flu on Monday and still did my steps.  Tuesday I wasn't feeling much better and I forced myself to not do them.  Woman Happy

First the flu, now plantar faciitis. I've had it before, but not for many years—I blame the joy of running. Had a few fabulous days of running, post-flu, before I woke up today and could barely put weight on my foot. I felt it coming yesterday morning, but then stupidly had a very walk- and run-heavy day when I should have been icing it so it wouldn't get out of hand. Grrr.

Anyway, I am taking the next week to completely coddle that right foot with fluffy bunny slippers and not worrying about step counts at all. Exercise will all be ellipitical (if I can stand it), weights, and bike. Maybe some swimming if I can find the time.

So... my February goals are probably shot to heck and back, but I figured I need to keep the accountability going or I'll just slide right back into not bothering to do anything, right?

Sunday, 2/12: Steps (10,000): 9348, Calories (2600): 2267

Monday, 2/13: Steps (10,000): 16,592, Calories (2600): 2953

Tuesday, 2/14: Steps (10,000): 17,239, Calories (2600): 2905

Wednesday, 2/15: Steps (10,000): 14,069, Calories (2600): 2749

Thursday, 2/12: Steps (10,000): 17,602, Calories (2600): 2854

So far this month:

Steps: 12/28

Burn: 9/28

Sigh, those step counts look so good! And most of it from running. But I won't run for months if I let this keep going now, so off to ice!

I hope everyone else is doing great!

I've been keeping to the 10,000 before dinner (with the exception of the days I missed).  I'm well over today (shoveled snow on the deck).  I'm thinking maybe I should go use the hot tub before calling it a night.
