I am the exact same weight as I was when I got my Flex 3 1/2 months ago!
How about you?
I'm hoping with Spring here and Summer around the corner, that my walking will increase.

They are the active ingredients in Contrave (which is a weight loss medicine). Phentermine helps make you feel full with less and the topamax takes away the hunger feeling.
I start today on them, I'm pretty excited 🙂

@Akc10810 - there are so many things that could be wrong. Myself, if I was running that large a deficit I wouldn't lose much either. My body tends to freak out and hold on until I eat a little more. I'm paying around as I go, but I actually think I lose more consistently on -1000 a day.
Anyways, you didn't share age, gender, starting weight, etc. so it's hard to judge if 1500 is just too low for you. Hey, we're all pretty anonymous, so some of that would help. If you're a woman, is could be premenstrual water retention. Years ago, when doing daily measurements I could almost predict my first day based on unexplained weight gain. Depending what you're eating it could be a salty meal yesterday causing water retention. Also, uneven hydration can throw weights up and down. Not to be too particular, but bowel movements can throw you off as well. I've never tried to quantify it, but just googled an article that said 1-4 pounds. (yikes)
Although I find my tracker fairly accurate, some people find theirs is off by a certain amount. How do you track your 1500 calories? ie. is it a large apple, or an 8-oz apple? Depending on what you're eating it could be you are eating more (or even less) than you think you are. If you feel that the 1500 is accurate I'd consider trying a little more and check in a couple of days, or a week, depending on how you're doing.
I've been working on this since February and I really do try and only eat at the -1000 mark. For me, this works best. Higher differences between what I burn and what I eat does seems to stall the loss. Everyone is different and I think it takes a little time to find out what works best for you. Good luck.

@Akc10810 - good, I know there are some people who do intermittant fasting around here. They may be able to chime in with some more information. I'm not familiar with the ups and downs of losses through IF. The only IF days I do are (not on purpose) Saturday and Sunday when I get up late, get busy, and don't eat 'breakfast' until 2pm.

I've lost about 35lbs so far. I bought mine back in end of January.. I find its a good way to keep track of your heart rate and steps. Plus it is kind of a contant reminder that I am trying to get healthier. A lot of the time, I've reached for that bag of chips, looks at my fitbit on my wrist reaching for those chips.. and stopped myself. I started adjusting my diet and exercise very slowly.. and increased the adjustments as i went along.

I have lost 16 pounds since I started using my Charge on May 2nd, 2016. 🙂 This put me down two pants sizes and back in the normal BMI range for my height, barely but I'm in there! lol I'm going for another loss of 6 pounds and I will be happy. Thanks FitBit! I did the work but I probably couldn't do it without you.

This is usually what I noticed too, a difference in my clothing which haven't felt loose within a year, but all my fault. I'm getting back in the ring as of tomorrow.

Since January 8th (2016) I've lost 66 lbs. I dropped from 240 to my initial goal of 180 in just 4 months and 8 days. My goal was to do it in 6 months. I'm now working on my secondary goal of 165, and I am currently at 174. 165 is where I want to maintain my weight. At 5’8” and 40 years old it is about the right weight for my build.
My secret? Complete life style change. And.. I cook nearly all my food for the week on Sunday so I can’t really cheat. I also eat almost the something every day. Once it hit my 180 goal did I increased my calorie intake from 1600 +/- 100 to around 2300 +/-100. Though I still burn 4,000-4,500 calories most days.
My normal M-F meals are as follows;
Overnight Oatmeal for breakfast
Pork (7oz), spinach (9oz), and yam (7 oz) for lunch
Small chicken hamburger (4 oz) and spaghetti squash (7oz) for afternoon snack
Chicken (7oz), carrot (1oz), broccoli (10oz), pineapple (7oz), brown rice (1cup), with a spicy peanut butter sauce (2tbs) for dinner.
Then after I hit the 180 lb. goal frozen banana ice-cream for desert (2 bananas, 2 tbs PB2, 2 tbs almond milk blended).
Add fruit and more carrots throughout the day.
For me portion control is critical. I weigh and measure my food. I love to eat and over eat. I love that the fitbit app lets me enter everything I eat, and help me stay on track.
I also now take the 15 minute breaks at work that I would normally just work through. That is nearly 2 extra miles. I also walk 3 miles at lunch. This has also really helped me with my stress level. I sit a computer all day running a technical support call center, but am still able to walk 10,000 steps (5 miles) before I leave work just using the extra time I normally would work through. Then I put in the time at home required to complete a good workout (1 to 1.5 hours).
HIIT simply melted away the fat. I went from a XXL shirt to a SM. 38 waist pants to a 32.
I now run 5 miles on M/W/F and do upper body strength training, and on T/T/S walk and do HIIT. I use fitness blender’s great FREE HIIT workouts. I found them on you tube, and they really helped me, especially early on, to regiment my workouts. Most include warm-ups and cool-downs plus strength training. I really enjoy them.
I have to say that my fitbit has change my life.

You and I have lost just about the same amount in the same period of time. I have gone from 266 to 203 this morning. Life changing. I'm done when I hit 199.

medas2005, Congrats on your success too. It is definitely life changing. I feel half my age again. Funny about your previous post about back pain. I never had any back problems even at 240lbs. After losing around 40 lbs my back would kill me if I stood (still) for longer than 30 minutes. A family trip to Disney was agonizing, but being a Dad had to keep a smile on my face. lol The good news is that the pain is gone, and my spine finally re-adjusted to not being pulled out by an oversized belly. On a recent family vacation to DC we walk 17 mile in a single day. I could not have done that six months ago.
