I am the exact same weight as I was when I got my Flex 3 1/2 months ago!
How about you?
I'm hoping with Spring here and Summer around the corner, that my walking will increase.

I have used a pedometer way before for many years before FITBIT, but YES..lost weight since Fitbit! I think the App makes a diff by seeing the calories burned etc.

My wife purchased the Fitbit Versa for me and since Oct 23rd, I've now lost 18lbs (50% of my goal to lose). I've used my Fitbit Versa to increase my awareness of my fitness and health. Make no mistake about it, this is what it's for ... I work every day and found myself sitting there and later at home. I was barely getting in 3k steps a day and now I registering over 10k daily. I've modified my eating habits (logging everything I put into my mouth) and increased my water intake. I monitor my sleep pattern and definitely see the coorelation to it and how I feel the next day. I've finally gotten through the stage where my weight has dropped off quickly and now the real work begins. I'm back to doing push-ups and moving way beyond 3-minutes on the elliptical. Lol. I think my wife knew what she was doing when she gave it to me and now she's mad at my progress and ordered one for herself. I was a jock in HS and always been athletic but just got lazy. I am 59 years old with 6 grand-daughters. I just beat two of them this weekend playing basketball (ages 11 and 15). My doctor is impressed. The truth is, you still have to commit daily and use the information the Fitbit provides, there's no secret weapon here. While there are a few issues I've had to work through with my Versa, overall I'm glad I have it. You could say, it's changing my life.

You are right, there is no quick fix, just persistence. Sometimes it is hard to keep the motivation going, but if I want the results, I just have to suck it up and persevere - hard work, but worth it. Congratulations on your progress.

@mykeaz: congrats for your impressive weight loss! Did you lose those 18 lbs between Oct 23 and Nov 26, that is, in just over 4 weeks? If so, 4.5 lbs per week is a lot. Make sure you lose your remaining goal in a sustainable way.

My 2017 New Year's resolution was to quit smoking (did that) and lose weight.
I got a Fitbit Alta on 1/5/2017. I started at 334 lbs. and lost 75 lbs. over the year.
I attribute the weight loss primarily to eating well, logging EVERY calorie as best I could, and really focusing on the food intake. I also tried to step up my activity level (sedentary career, sedentary lifestyle) and started going for walks, building up to the occasional 10 mile bike ride.
Over 2018, my goal was to simply maintain the weight loss that I'd achieved, which I've done (it fluctuates within about a 6 lb. range), and cross my fingers that my loose skin will "catch up" (it's evened out a little, obviously it will never be tight again, I've been "morbidly obese" since, like, childhood).
I've eaten a little more "loosely" over 2018, not as strict to the diet, but my eating habits are focused on nutrition and health, with allowing some sweets here and there. I did not track my foods or calories in 2018.
Upgraded to the Charge 3 a couple days ago.
My goal for 2019 is to start tracking my food intake with Fitbit religiously again, and drop another 25 lbs.
Right at this moment, I feel the strongest and healthiest I've ever felt in my life. I'm confident 2019 will be awesome.

Dominique,
Thank you for your concern about my rate of loss. Believe me, while I'm very pleased about my progress it came to with a lot of discipline and willpower, combined with reducing a lot of sugar, increasing water intake and taking my steps from 2k to over 10k+ daily. Currently, I'm at 202.5 and have slowed down my losses per week. I pay attention and listen to my body and get plenty of sleep. As I look back my timeline began in Sept 29th (a week earlier), which the averages become about 2-3lbs a week. Again, thank you for the heads up! It's very much appreciated.

Lots of ups and downs, but in a little over 4 years of tracking I am down almost 4 pounds. In the last 3 months or so I've lost about 11 pounds, so I'm hoping to keep the momentum going. Need to lose another 4.4 pounds to meet my goal / tie my all time low.
