Morning
I'm trying to start a food log from today onward. I've entered my breakfast, but it doesn't allow me to enter half a banana or the grams of that banana to go alongside my cereal. Plus it states I've eaten over my target calories before I have even started the day!
I NEED TO KEEP A TRACK OF THE CARBS I EAT MORE THAN ANYTHING ELSE. Maybe this is not the app I am looking for??
I'm far from stupid, but I am slightly concerned with the inputting of data into this log. Maybe with practice, it will become more user friendly, especially if most don't have any problems with it.
It just seems awkward to me right now and once you've entered one item for breakfast, the only other way of adding is by clicking on the minus or plus sign to the weight of the item you've just entered for that session, hence increasing my 30g bowl of cereal to 31g!!
Plus it's not made easier by using my phone, despite it being a fairly large screen. It's just not convenient to use the desktop pc or anything else.
I've done really well this week with manually recording my food intake, carbs etc and have lost 4Ibs in the process. Plus this has been encouraged by me going to the Diabetic X-PERT courses and recording the amount of carbs I eat during the week compared to what I ate before, has been an eye opener. So pleased with the Fitbit, it is slowly changing my way of life.
Thank you ☺

Hey Wendy
I'll try that. Though I'll be working from my phone, so not sure what I'll see in place if the mouse. I selected a banana and the weight after I entreed cereal inf, but it just made the sections go blank that I'd selected. I'll try again though. Had to add them in as notes, but that's useless as it records nothing.

I just went and got my phone and it easier there. Pull up the grams of banana record Tap on serving size to bring up the keyboard. Use the the X (back button) to erase and add what you want.

I don't use a phone, but with the computer, I love the fitbit food log. It saves the most recently added and the most logged foods in a column on the right hand side of the screen. I usually change the amounts the same way someone else mentioned.
As for saying you're over target in the morning, check to see what food plan you have. I'm not sure exactly how it works, but that may have something to do with it.
Having a food log on computer is much better for me than logging by hand. It's worth the trouble of figuring out all of the 'quirks.' 🙂
Good luck!

@SunsetRunner I think I understand why it says over as soon as you enter breakfast. I believe to be 'in the zone', you have to have a certain 'calories burned' to 'calories in' ratio. If you eat breakfast first thing, then you haven't burned enough according to that ratio. As soon as you do some movement/steps, you should move into zone, or under, pretty easily.
This happens to me frequently. Not sure why I didn't think of that earlier. It says over at nearly every meal, then shortly after, it moves down to in the zone.
