Hey there, Im a 13 year old girl whos trying to be happy and contempt with the way I look and feel. Unfortunately I dont always feel this way do to my weight. Many of my friends are absalutlely gorgous and eat like pigs. And I always get depressed knowing I cant be like that. I cant eat what ever I want and be skinny as a stick. I mostly have problems with my portions, apposed to eating junk. I was wondering if any of you guys have any tips or motivation you could share with me?

Try drinking a glass of water before meals. It will fill you up. Also, pay attention to your breathing as you eat; when you sigh, you've eaten enough. And skinny is not the same as healthy. It's more important to be healthy and strong than sticklike.

I know what it's like to be young and uncomfortable with your body but I can promise you are beautiful no matter what size you are!!
My weight loss I can vouch has been successful because of my use of the phone app called My Fitness Pal and my fitbit. You're on the right track and your fitbit is a great way to see just how active (or inactive) you are.
I thought when I started that I had to workout hardcore every day. But I can promise you that even taking a walk after school for half an hour...even walk around the mall! You'd be surprised how many steps you can add to your day by doing this. They say that most weight loss is thanks to diet...exercise comes next.
Yeah we may not be able to eat like pigs but making good choices in the long run will be better and help you become more confident in the person you are. What do I do? I watch my portions using My Fitness Pal and log my meals to keep track of how much I'm eating. My Fitness Pal also syncs with Fitbit to log your daily calories burned! If you don't want to log on My Fitness Pal you can log your meals on the Fitbit Dashboard to keep track. I did this for almost a year and I've lost over 50 lbs. I don't even have to log all my meals any more before I've gotten to know what portion sizes look like. Even making small choices when going out to eat with your friends and stuff can help. Get it grilled and not fried...choose a side salad instead of fries! You can do this! Feel free to add me as a friend on Fitbit if you need a little support/motivation!
Good luck!!
And don't forget, if it does, remember to mark your question as solved!
