How come that according to my Fitbit I start burning fat after a few minutes?

I've just read this article in MIT Review.

https://www.technologyreview.com/2022/10/20/1061254/where-does-weight-loss-go/

This states that you only start to burn fat after 30 tot 60 minutes of aerobic exercise.

Yet, when I run with my Fitbit I'm in the fat burn zone after 2 or 3 minutes.

Does this mean that Fitbit only tells you you have reached the heart rate at which you burn fat, but you're not actually burning fat?

"Fat burn zone" is just a name given to a heart rate range, could be considered a bit of a misnomer.  Fit bit has no way of knowing when you are actually burning fat.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
